Weekly Food Distribution
For the last three years, Circle Up Indy has been committed to providing food for those in need in our community. We serve over 90 families weekly with food box giveaways and hot meals to increase access to healthier food options for all residents, especially low-income people of color in Martindale Brightwood, the Near Eastside, and the Near Southeast Side.
Circle Up Indy has a history of successfully serving the community. Through our Direct Community Engagement Program, we have helped over 750 people in the last three years, most of whom reside in the Martindale Brightwood area and of which 97% are people of color. Additionally, through our assistance, Oxford Terrace Apartments in Martindale Brightwood, JBF Ministries on the Near Eastside, and House of Victory Church on the Near Southeast Side serve 90 low-income residents weekly. We also collaborate with additional community partners to source and distribute healthy foods, including Indianapolis Urban League, Avondale Meadows YMCA, and the Edna Martin Christian Center.
