Over the past year Circle Up Indy has been working to develop new programs to serve the community. One such program is Circle Up Health Services, which is designed to provide community health services which might not otherwise be available to some residents of Indianapolis, while offering employment opportunities for nurses. The present program brings qualified nurses to client’s home to assist with the care of juveniles who have special health issues.

Working with a team, which includes the family, medical professionals, and others, these nurses help families meet treatment goals and improve the quality of life for the family and the client. The nurses do not administer medications, but are there to give guidance and support for the family; bringing confidence and information about the treatment plan.  This approach allows the family to learn and grow as they adjust to the healthcare needs of the juvenile client. Currently provided by referral only, with planned expansion in the near future to make this much needed service available to more families.

Circle Up Heath Services is still seeking nurses for this program, and offering competitive wages.
